Since 1885, the family JONQUIER, manufacturing of nougat in Ollioules puts all its inimitable know-how in the preparation of a nougat made with traditional ingredients. And always the same recipe just authentic and real, without no artifice, no preservatives, and dye for 6 generations. Quality ingredients carefully selected for the richness of their taste.
Around the year 1860, lived in Ollioules (Var), Louis Jonquier (1821-1890), whose cute sin was greed. He was so greedy that it happened the evening with a pharmacist friend to work in a mortar of the honey and the sugar almond kernels. At this mixture, he added what has become his secret. The years passed, the recipe was improved for the greatest happiness of their friends with the inhabitants of the district. In 1885, Louis Jonquier who was a manufacturer of candles sees electricity that starts to make shade. He therefore proposed to his son Jules to work on the development of a new activity. They will be the first nougatiers of the family.
Since the House Jonquier provided many families with delicious nougat entering in the composition of the thirteen desserts of the night of Christmas Eve. It is now a tradition, taken over by six generations, produce year-round, an incomparable nougat by its composition.

This nougat is the result of a family tradition passed for six generations. The story begins with Louis Jonquier who decides to create its nougat for Christmas. To delight the taste buds of his family, he puts all his heart and with patience he refines his recipe. Over the tests, he discovers a passion he chooses to share with his friends. In few words here is the birth of the Nougat Jonquier. Since 130 years this nougat is created with the same care as in its early days. Almonds are selected with the greatest care in order to make cenougat always also cute. Honey comes Deo Provencal in order to give it a taste always also singing. The production is performed in the same copper pots that date back to the creation of the factory.
This requirement of selection and creation is maintained in order to bring you a quality product to proudly share with your friends, a small craftsman who works "at the old".
